The National Centre for Earth Observation (NCEO) is a distributed research centre with over 100 scientists from both Universities and research organisations in the UK.
Hosted by the University of Leicester, the NCEO provides long-term strategic research in environmental science using data from satellites in space. The NCEO’s main stakeholder is the Natural Environment Research Council (NERC), part of United Kingdom Research and Innovation (UKRI).

NCEO Finance Manager
We are currently looking to appoint a Full- time Finance Manager to manage and oversee the organisation’s financial processes, management and reporting, along with providing contract management and advice.
The role based at Space Park Leicester, is ideal for an existing financial manager, looking to broaden their experience in the research sector. You will have experience in organisational financial management and reporting, along with proficiency in scrutinising and producing financial reports, budgets, and forecasts, you will have the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Senior Technician (Laboratory and Field)
The Earth Observation & Environmental Science Team at NCEO King’s College London are currently looking to appoint an enthusiastic, capable and dedicated new staff member to work as an Environmental Science Instrument Technician.
The successful candidate will get on-the-job training and will join a dynamic interdisciplinary team of physicists, geographers, natural and environmental scientists working in NCEO at King’s Department of Geography. Application deadline is 28th February 2025.
